あいち2025 - その14（愛知県陶磁美術館） Aichi Triennale 2025: Part-14 (Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum)

愛知県陶磁美術館の本館を入ると、通常は展示室へのアプローチとなっている部分に、2人のアーティストの作品が展示されていた。

ペルーのリマで生まれ、その地で活動するエレナ・ダミアーニは、地質学、地理学、天文学、考古学など様々な領域をテーマにして作品を製作している。

石が移動してその跡が残されているような作品。

石が自分でそのように動くことはないだろう、と思いがちだが、地震や大雨の際は、様々ことが起こりうる。

また、長い時間の中では、普段は動かないと思われるものが、動いたり変化をする。

この作品には、地元の瀬戸地方の土や砂などが使われているという。

Upon entering the main building of the Aichi Ceramic Art Museum, works by two artists were on display in what would normally be the approach to the exhibition rooms.

Elena Damiani was born and works in Lima, Peru, and creates works that explore a variety of themes, including geology, geography, astronomy, and archaeology.

The work resembles stones that have shifted and left traces behind.

One might think that stones would never move on their own, but during earthquakes or heavy rain, all sorts of things can happen.

Also, over long periods of time, things that are normally thought to be immobile can move and change.

This work apparently uses soil and sand from the local Seto region.

本館までの広場で出会ったムトゥの作品は、本館の中にも2つ展示されていた。

巨大なヘビのような、ツチノコのような生物？

頭の部分は、美しい石で作られた女性の彫像になっていて、その周りには小瓶や動物のオブジェなど、色々なものが置かれている。

Two of Mutu's works, which I had encountered in the plaza leading to the main building, were also on display inside the building.

A giant snake-like, Tsuchinoko-like creature?

The head of the statue is a beautiful stone statue of a woman, and various objects such as small bottles and animal sculptures are placed around it.

もう一つのムトゥの作品は、アニメのような映像と、その向かいに巨大なメッセージ。

映像は、厳しい自然の中でも挫けない、アフリカの女性の力強さが、ユーモアも交えて展開されていた。

Another of Mutu's works featured an anime-like video with a huge message across from it.

The video depicted, with a touch of humor, the strength of African women who do not give up even in the harsh natural environment.
