未来／追想 千葉市美術館と現代美術（千葉市美術館） Recorded Futures Relived: CCMA and Contemporary Art (Chiba City Museum of Art)

千葉市美術館と言えば、絵浮世に代表される豊富な江戸絵画のコレクションで知られる。

同時に、豊富な現代アートのコレクションでも知られ、最近でもNehol展や、目展、宮島達男展などを開催してきた。

開会30年を記念して、その豊富なコレクションの中から、180点にのぼる作品が展示された。

中でも印象的だったのは、1階のさや堂ホールでの展示だった。

千葉施術館の建物は、建築家大谷幸男によって設計された。

この地には、大正時代に建てられた旧川崎銀行千葉支店の建物が立っており、大谷はその建物を”さや堂方式”で残しながら、現在の建物を設計した。

その大正ロマンの雰囲気が色濃く残る建物の中に、斎藤義重や菅木志雄などの作品が展示されている様子は、圧巻だった。

通常の展示会場には、具体、実験工房、ハイレッド・センターなどの作家の作品や、桂ゆき、マルセル・デュシャン、荒川修作、工藤哲巳、草間彌生、イサム・ノグチ、河原温、杉本博司、辰野登恵子、などの作品が展示されていて、壮観だった。

The Chiba City Museum of Art is known for its extensive collection of Edo paintings, including ukiyo-e.

It is also known for its extensive collection of contemporary art, and has recently hosted exhibitions such as Nehol, Me, and Tatsuo Miyajima.

To commemorate its 30th anniversary, the museum exhibited 180 works from its extensive collection.

One of the most impressive exhibits was the one in the Sayado Hall on the first floor.

The Chiba Treatment Center building was designed by architect Otani Yukio.

The site is home to the former Kawasaki Bank Chiba Branch, which was built during the Taisho era. Otani designed the current building while retaining the original architecture in the "Sayado style."

The sight of works by artists such as Saito Yoshishige and Suga Kishio on display in a building that still retains a strong Taisho romantic atmosphere was truly impressive.

The regular exhibition hall was a spectacular sight, with works by artists such as Gutai, Jikken Kobo, and Hi Red Center, as well as Yuki Katsura, Marcel Duchamp, Shusaku Arakawa, Tetsumi Kudo, Yayoi Kusama, Isamu Noguchi, On Kawara, Hiroshi Sugimoto, and Toeko Tatsuno on display.
