トランスフィジカル（東京都写真美術館） TOP Collection: transphysical (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum)

東京都写真美術館のコレクション展。

フィジカル、つまり物質性、身体的をテーマにして、4人のキュレーターによる共同企画。

レジェンド的な作品から、現代のユニークな手法の作品まで、多彩な作品が展示室に並んだ。

特に印象に残った作品を2つ。

森村泰昌の作品。イヴ・クラインの有名なジャンプしている写真”空虚への飛翔”のパロディ。

パーマ屋の2階からジャンプしているという部分も、森村らしい。オリジナルの写真では、屋敷風の家からダイブしている。

もう一つは、撮影が禁じられていたが、ロバート・メイプルソープが、パティ・スミスを撮影した写真。

裸のまま、足を抱えるように腰を屈めて、こちらを睨みつける姿は、さすがパティ・スミス。

パティ・スミスは、メイプルソープが撮影したジャケット写真のデビュー・アルバムで鮮烈なデビューを飾った。

そうした二人の関係性も垣間見えてくる。

A collection exhibition at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum.

Four curators jointly organized the exhibition on the theme of the physical, that is, materiality and the body.

A wide variety of works, from legendary works to modern works using unique techniques, were lined up in the exhibition room.

Two works in particular made an impression on me.

A work by Morimura Yasumasa. It is a parody of Yves Klein's famous jumping photograph "Leap into the Void."

The fact that he is jumping from the second floor of a perm salon is also typical of Morimura. In the original photograph, he is diving from a mansion-style house.

The other is a photograph of Patti Smith taken by Robert Mapplethorpe, although photography was prohibited.

The naked figure of her bending over as if holding her legs and glaring at us is typical of Patti Smith.

Patti Smith made a striking debut with her debut album, the cover of which was photographed by Mapplethorpe.

We can also get a glimpse of the relationship between these two people.
