拓本のたのしみ（東京国立美術館） Joy of rubbings (Tokyo National Museum)

西洋絵画の歴史において、版画は作品の普及に大きな役割を果たしてきた。

油絵などの実物は、それが展示されている場所に行かないと見ることができないが、版画であれば、身近な場所でコピーだがどんな作品かを知ることができる。

中国の書においては、拓本が同じような役割を果たしてきたのだろう。

王羲之の蘭亭序のオリジナルは、唐の太宗の墓に埋められてしまったが、欧陽詢らの臨書が拓本となり、現代に至るまで、多くの人が拓本によってその書を学んでいる。

毎年の新年の時期恒例の、東京国立博物館と台東区立書道博物館の共同開催展。今年のテーマは、その拓本だった。

古代の青銅器や石碑、王羲之や顔真卿の書、淳化閣帖といったの法帖など、多彩な拓本を楽しむことができた。

In the history of Western painting, prints have played a major role in popularizing works of art.

You can only see the original oil paintings at the exhibition site, but prints are copies that you can see in your own neighborhood, so you can learn about the work.

In Chinese calligraphy, rubbings have played a similar role.

The original of Wang Xizhi's Lanting Preface was buried in the tomb of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, but copies made by Ouyang Xun and others became rubbings, and many people have studied his calligraphy through rubbings to this day.

This is the annual New Year's joint exhibition by the Tokyo National Museum and the Taito City Calligraphy Museum. This year's theme was rubbings.

I enjoyed a variety of rubbings, including ancient bronze vessels and stone monuments, calligraphy by Wang Xizhi and Yan Zhenqing, and calligraphy scrolls such as the Chunhua Ge Scroll.
